Relating and Responding to Mental Health

What does mental health look and sound like in everyday interactions? How can we respond in a kind and caring way?

We all agree we need to talk about mental health, but most of us don’t know what we would say if someone disclosed they were struggling. The way we respond to someone in their most vulnerable time can have lasting effects.

In this workshop, participants will learn the signs and symptoms of common mental illnesses and how to use active communication to respond in an empathetic way, fostering safe and open communication and helping to break down stigma and isolation.

This course is offered in a half-day, one-day or two-day format and can be tailored to your organization’s specific needs. It can be offered virtually or in-person with physical distancing measures to ensure participant and trainer safety. This course is offered in English and French.
